    简介:Inthispaper,weproposeanewstrategyforelectrolyteflowratecontrolinVanadiumRedoxFlowBatteries.Thekeystoneofourapproachisanovelmethodologyfordeterminationofoptimalreferencevoltageandrobustfeedbackcontrollerdesignthatprovidesthedesiredtransientandsteadystatebatteryperformance.Inaddition,weintroduceahierarchicalschemeofthegeneralbatterycontrolsystemthatsignificantlysimplifiesclassificationofbatterycontroltasksandgivesguidelinesformultistagecontrollerdesign.Theresearchconsidersakilo-wattclassVRFBsystemoperatinginawiderangeofloadingcurrents(20–180A).Theproposedcontrolalgorithmallowsreferencetrajectorytrackingwithhighaccuracy(averageerrorlessthan0.0005%),yetprovidingtherequiredbatteryperformanceattwicelowerflowratesascomparedtotheexistingsolutions,andthus,decreasingpumpenergyconsumptionbyafactorof3.Asaresult,theproposedmethodcanbeusedforflowrateregulationinpracticalVRFBsystemsensuringtheirstableandefficientoperationunderdynamicloadingconditions."
