简介:SinanostructureswithhighsurfaceareaarepreparedbyAg-assistedchemicaletching,andthenemployedasananodematerialforlithiumionbatteries.Theuseofthesurface-modifiedSi,whichhasfourtimeshighersurfaceareathanitspristinecounterpart,leadstotheenhancementofelectrochemicalperformancecharacteristicssuchasdischargecapacityandcoulombicefficiency.Inordertooptimizetheelectrodeconstituents,twodifferentbinders,poly-vinylidinedifluoride(PVdF)andpolyimide(PI),areevaluatedonthebasisofelectrochemicalandphysicaltests.In-situdilatometerandnano-indentationstudiesduringrepeatedcharginganddischargingcyclesforthedifferentbindersrevealmorestabilityandrecuperativecapabilityagainstphysicalstresswiththePIbinderthanwiththePVdF.Theoptimizedactivestructurecombinedwiththefilm-likebinderplaysanimportantroleinenhancingtheelectrochemicalperformance.
