    简介:InChina,thehighdemandforelectricvehicles(EVs)hasledtoarapidincreaseinpowerlithium-ionbattery(LIB)production,whichhassubsequentlygivenrisetoanexplosiveincreaseinthenumberofspentpowerLIBs.Comprehensiverecycling,includingrecoveryandreuse,isapromisingdevelopmentdirectiontoobtainthemaximumutilizationofspentpowerLIBs.ThisarticleaimstoreviewthecurrentsituationofthecomprehensiverecyclingofspentLIBsinChina.First,thevaluablecomponentsofLIBsandissuesinvolvedinspentpowerLIBsaresummarizedtoclarifythenecessityforspentpowerLIBrecycling.Afterthat,therecyclingprocessofspentpowerLIBsisdiscussedinthreeparts:pretreatmentofspentpowerLIBs,recoveryofseparatedmaterials,andreuseofspentpowerLIBs.Therecoveryofcathodematerialisfullydiscussedduetoitshigherrecoveryvaluecomparedtoothercomponents.Severaltechnologiesareexaminedineverysteptoexplorethepromisingrouteintermsofenvironmentalprotection,technologicalinnovation,andeconomicfeasibility.Finally,analternativerecyclingmodeisproposedbasedonthecomprehensiveanalysisofthechallengesfacingbatteryrecycling.
